Located on our cattle farm, creating this cosy abode has been a labour of love. Ideally located within walking distance to a private beach and hiking trails. Wombat Lodge also features an adjoining events space ideal for special occasions.

Wombat Lodge interiors are designed by Emily Fitzgerald who collaborated with the Jo and Tom on The Flinders Wharf fit out. Wombat Lodge’s aesthetic is cosy, fun and thoughtful with an industrial edge. Natural finishes have been selected to weather well and embody the farm environment. The lodge comes to life at sunset as the sun goes down across Bass Strait, bathing the building in warm light. There is no better place to be with a glass of red and a book in hand than curled up under a Waverley Mills alpaca blanket on one of the property’s custom designed day beds by Camm Upholstery. Wombat Lodge also features custom French bed linen and Turkish towels by Quoin The Label, hardware throughout by The Society Inc, soft furnishings by Pony Rider, Tapware by Brodware Yokato and lighting by Scout House St Kilda, The Lighting Collective and House of Orange. The walls of the lodge are also adorned with photographic prints by Kara Rosenlund and Adam Gibson showcasing various magical locations on the island.

Located at the northern-end of Flinders Island, Wombat Lodge is situated on a secluded cattle farm walking distance from private beaches and a short drive from the world-famous Killiecrankie Beach. Guests won't encounter any human neighbours but will no doubt cross paths with our resident wallabies, wombats and other native critters along with our trusty farm dogs Minnie & Chocolate.
