Flinders Island Manuka honey has a bold presence, with a distinct flavour profile. The hives are scattered throughout the island in the Manuka bush. Manuka honey is also known for its health benefits and some of John’s Manuka honey has up to 160+MGO activity, Methylglyoxal (MGO) per kilogram of honey.
The Meadow honey hives are positioned to promote the bees to forage amongst the dandelions. The meadow honey is a fresh mild honey and is amazing for chefs and homecooks to use in a wide range of recipes. If you are not a big fan of using a lot of honey, Flinders Island Meadow honey will turn you into a honey lover with its natural, soft flavour. All honey is organically produced. John uses no antibiotics, no sugar syrup and no irradiated pollen. All honey sold in The Flinders Wharf is GMO FREE.
